I’m a Seattle-based writer and editor who is daunted neither by the brevity of a tweet, nor the length of a well-researched journal article. With a decade of professional experience in journalism, academia and business, I’ve done a little bit of both types of writing — and much more.
Among my accomplishments: leading national and state elections coverage for the Green Bay Press-Gazette (Wis.), starting a writing center for students at an English-language university in Kazakhstan, and coming up with chuckle-worthy copy as an editorial copywriter at zulily, Inc., where I currently work.
I tackle all projects with a blend of critical thinking, creativity and attention to detail, believing as my literary hero Kurt Vonnegut does that "simplicity of language is not only reputable, but perhaps even sacred." I’m a voracious reader with a preference for 19th century British literature, the Russians, Agatha Christie novels and travelogues.
